Finding our Rhythm
The magical thing about traveling as a family, is that home is wherever we decide it to be. We took a leap of faith and changed the course of our family’s life in hopes of finding balance, adventure and new experiences to share together. We told two little girls that we were moving far away from familiar things and familiar […]
On Our Way…
It has been quite a few weeks since life felt “normal”. First, all our possessions were packed in boxes and we moved in with family in Edmonds. We spent that week saying goodbye to friends and spending quality time with loved ones. We expected that process to be hard…and it was. So much so, that we had to stop […]
Why We Decided To Move Abroad

I wrote this post in June of 2011 before we were set to leave the USA…
From Chaos to Calm…

Pure Magic
I’m sure anyone who has ever planned a vacation, spends the weeks prior, daydreaming about how lovely it will be. Well, I certainly do. However, now that I have kids I try not to get my hopes up. I don’t claim to be an expert, but if there’s one thing I know about kids, it’s […]
Winter Does Not Last Forever…
Spring arrived a few days ago and although I’m sure we have an abundance of rain still to come, signs of Spring are everywhere and we are happy for the sun today.
Late February Snow
I was already dreaming of Spring when they started announcing a winter storm. I was not thrilled, to say the least. But I must admit, today was fun. Very fun…and very beautiful.
Welcome to the Family, “Whitey”
The girls new Betta fish, Snow White (aka Whitey), lives in a pink palace. It’s actually a male betta fish. (The males are “prettier” than the more plain-looking females.) But the girls don’t need to know that. It was love at first sight.
