Once upon a time, Brett made a video of a 2 week trip we took to Spain. Our family loves that video and although the girls were only 4 and 6 years old, they can recall specific details from that trip. Videos bring memories to life. I love photography, so I have to consciously think about switching my camera or phone to video mode. Brett is better at that than I am.
Although there is still a lot to learn, today’s technology makes video creation so much faster and easier. You can capture great quality videos on your mobile device and even edit them and turn them into movies using just your smart phone. I decided to take the plunge and try and get back to preserving our holiday memories using video. I’m far from an expert, but have enjoyed the creative learning process.
A couple of months ago, I posted this short video of our days in Cape Town. Now, if you’d like to see the 10 minute video of our safari in the Madikwe Game Reserve of South Africa, here it is.
