Part of me wants to post multiple strings of pictures from our trip to Italy, with no words, allowing the images to tell the tales of our adventures and antics over those 2 weeks. On the other hand, I’d like to write a novel with all the details, including wordy, elaborate descriptions of each image, interwoven with stories and reflections.
In a word, it was epic. Not climbing-Mt. Everest-epic, but rather, larger-than-life memorable, for me and my family. First of all, my little brother got married in Varenna during this trip, which is enough to make it unforgettable. Reconnecting with immediate and extended family made it extraordinary. Combine that with a week at a Tuscan castle, reminiscing about one of the happiest days of your life and it becomes magical. Share this special place with two enthusiastic, gelato-covered little girls and reflect on the past 12 years and it becomes nothing short of…epic.
