The benefit of having my sister only a short flight away, in the UK, really paid off last week. She and the girls made a last minute trip to come and see us during our half-term autumn break. It was the first time we’ve had returning visitors, which meant coming up with a few new things to see and do and revisiting a few favorite spots.
Besides pumpkins, roller coasters and cotton candy at Tivoli, we also took the train to Malmö, Sweden last week. Waking up the kids and saying “get dressed, we are going to Sweden today” was met with wild enthusiasm. We found lots of fall color in Malmö and the Technology and Maritime Museum was a huge hit! A highlight was exploring the inside of a submarine that was used in World War II. I love museums where kids can touch and explore.
Otherwise we were just here in Copenhagen, enjoying the city, parks and museums. Not such a bad place to be.
